The road ahead

First get ready.
Then prove it.
Then grow.

The first quarter is a readiness sprint—not a building spree. The next two years move from facts and small tests toward careful, evidence-backed growth.

01

Days 1–10

Mobilize

Can the team see and control the work?

  • Choose one Program Director with real authority.
  • Approve the 90-day goal and spending limit.
  • Open shared lists for tasks, risks, decisions, and promises.
  • Gather the important legal, sales, program, and money files.
02

Days 11–30

Verify & design

Are the facts, rules, owners, and plans clear?

  • Check land, permits, prices, public claims, and the buyer path.
  • Agree on one story, one website map, and clear audience journeys.
  • Plan the dark-sky project and each small program test.
  • Set the budget, cash view, project codes, and spending rules.
03

Days 31–60

Build & test

Do the basic systems work in real life?

  • Test website forms, the CRM, tracking, and two document rooms.
  • Run first briefings, serious buyer calls, and guided visits.
  • Publish one main story and begin the email rhythm.
  • Prepare a retreat pilot, baseline studies, and partner proposals.
04

Days 61–90

Prove & decide

What earned the right to continue?

  • Aim for 100 qualified leads, 12 visits, and two serious next steps.
  • Schedule or deliver one safe, fully costed pilot.
  • Complete ten funder meetings and three written partner paths.
  • Review every pillar: go, change, hold, or stop.
05

Months 4–6

Make it repeatable

Can the team deliver the good parts again?

  • Repeat monthly briefings and structured visits.
  • Finish small pilots and publish what the team learned.
  • Move the campaign forward only if every readiness check passes.
  • Update the year-one budget with real results.
06

Months 7–12

Turn proof into choices

Which projects deserve steady support?

  • Repeat only safe and useful visit or retreat formats.
  • Deliver the first mission-funded milestones and updates.
  • Test education with a qualified operator.
  • Publish the first yearly field and impact report.
07

Months 13–24

Build selectively

What is ready for careful growth?

  • Build permanent spaces only with demand, permits, full funding, an operator, and upkeep.
  • Grow resident rules and common services.
  • Expand partnerships that have repeated results.
  • Create a multi-year plan for commercial, mission, and maintenance money.
Do not skip the order

Some work must wait.

Paid buyer ads wait forchecked inventory, prices, forms, follow-up, and visit space.

Retreat sales wait forcapacity, safety, services, a contract, and a partner plan.

A public campaign waits forlegal route, technical scope, full budget, proof of audience, and a delivery owner.

A permanent observatory waits fora useful first program, permits, full capital, and years of upkeep.

A permanent school waits foran operator, child-safety system, family demand, funding, and successful pilots.
